My name is Umar Shahid, and I am the Founder and Construction Consultant at Monoline Constructions in Lahore, Pakistan. I have more than 5.5 years of practical experience in the construction industry and have worked on residential and commercial construction projects from the early planning stage through completion.
My work mainly focuses on helping clients plan, manage, and complete their construction projects properly. I have experience in grey structure construction, basement construction, house construction, commercial building construction, renovation, finishing work, construction inspection, project planning, and site management.
I have been involved in a number of residential and commercial projects, including approximately 48–49 residential houses and 8–10 commercial plaza projects. Working directly on construction sites has helped me understand the problems homeowners and property owners commonly face when building or renovating a property.
Construction is not only about building walls and completing a structure. A successful project also requires proper planning, good material selection, skilled workmanship, regular site supervision, and clear communication with the client.
Over the years, I have gained practical experience in different stages of construction, including site preparation, excavation, foundations, grey structure work, electrical and plumbing work, plastering, flooring, finishing, renovation, quality checking, and final project completion.
I work closely with engineers, architects, site supervisors, contractors, and other members of the construction team. My responsibility is to make sure that the work is properly planned, monitored, and communicated to the client.
